Introducing Glenoma Park
Glenoma park is a scenic tropical oasis in the Cairns suburb of Brinsmead. It is surrounded by many beautiful mature trees that line Freshwater Creek, which borders the park.

Glenoma Park Map
Located on the Western Arterial in Brinsmead, this park is easy to access. Travelling north, simply take the first left after passing the Loridan Drive traffic lights and the Cool Waters Caravan Park. Glenoma lies on an extensive cycle and pedestrian network and has car spaces as well.

Flooding
The park will flood during the wet season. This happens during torrential tropical downpours when Freshwater Creek breaks its banks.
Fortunately the park is only underwater for a few days each year. However, for the balance of the year it is an enjoyable green space that is available to the community.
Glenoma Park Public Toilets
There are public toilets at the entry to the park, not far from the carpark. This much appreciated public convenience is listed on the national public toilet map. It has wheelchair access and is open during daylight hours.

Dogs at Glenoma Park
Dogs are allowed to be walked on leads at the park. However, they are not allowed to be off-lead while at the park. Dog owners are also required to collect any dog poo from their animals. Indeed the local Council imposes on-the-spot fines for dog owners not adhering to these rules.
You are welcomed to enjoy this park at your convenience. However, please dispose of any rubbish you have in a bin. We should always leave our parks and green spaces just as we found them.
Other Council Parks
There are a number of Cairns parks and other green spaces in the area worth a closer look. Some of these are:
